Monday, April 18, 2005 A recent wave of Russian immigrants to the Milwaukee area included many WW2 Russian soldiers who fought as allies of the U.S. against the German Army at such places as Stalingrad, Moscow, and Kursk. We have lined up several of these men, and a translator, to tell us the story of these brutal battles.
Rose-Harms American Legion Post
Guests are welcomed to all our meetings, but reservations are required by e-mail, or by calling Ken Grigas at (262) 284-1090, or Colin Sandell at (262) 377-1137.
Advance Notice: Monday, June 20, in memory of the 60th anniversary of the end
of World War 2, we will bring back all the surviving speakers we've presented
who fought in that war. Each will have a few minutes to reflect on what they did
and how it has changed their lives. We encourage you to bring any WW2 history
book and get the autographs of these men from America's "Greatest
Generation".
